Aluminum Extruded Heat Sink Introduction
Extruded heat sink is the cost effective option and highly automated. Extruded heat sinks are typically aluminum and allow the manufacturer to produce the fins and base as one continuous part.
The aluminum extrusion process allows the manufacture of numerous shapes of profiles. By modifying the shape of the profile, the surface in contact with the air is changed and therefore the heat dissipation capacity is changed. Extruded heat sinks are commonly used in medium power systems with natural and forced convection.
Aluminum Extruded Heat Sink Details:
Aluminum extruded heat sink process:
1. Extruded single pieces
2. Press fit single pieces together
3. CNC machining the groove on top and base according to the drawing, meet the flatness requirement
4. Surface treatment: degrease
5. Inspection, pack and ship
